So I made a music blog thing, filling it with all my musical tastes and songs I like at the time.

God, I hate the word 'blog', why do I keep using it?

Anyway, here it is :

http://sendusablindfold.blogspot.com/

I'll be updating it weekly

ALSO JESUS CHRIST THERE ARE SO MANY ULTRA CHRISTIAN BLOGS ON BLOGSPOT! (yes I am aware of the irony of part of that phrase)

Seriously! Just choose 'next blog' and like, 75~80% are about Christianity and God. I feel like I accidentally signed up to the wrong site!

More EOY Venues

  • Jan. 8th, 2010 at 1:00 AM
Going to visit another EOY venue in the morning with Joshua tomorrow.

And somehow, we survived the maid cafe earlier this evening. Wasn't really quite what I expected; I was expecting more "pyon pyon" stuff though. Jaslyn (Joshua's friend) was there as well. Still grateful that I didn't have to "pyon" cakes though, although I did like the Neko drawing on my Omu rice.

Later headed to Fullerton with Wilson and Hao to chill out a little and do some discussion.

My Jan calendar was initially very empty, but now it's picking up a little, which is a pretty good thing. An empty calendar is not good. Let's hope it maintains this way.

Alright, probably need to rest up soon. Need to pick Joshua at 9:45 am and head over to our new potential venue.

And that's Yui in my avatar! (insert Dota BKB sound: NAH PAM SOHHHH!)

EOY Re-planning & Venues

  • Jan. 7th, 2010 at 2:30 PM
Had a great lunch with Joshua yesterday; we went to eat Beach Road prawn noodles and later headed to Sim Lim to buy RAM and eat dessert. 2 GB RAM cost me $69... my MacBook now runs on 3 GB RAM. Actually 2GB is enough for Leopard OS, but Snow Leopard eats a hell of RAM due to it being a 64 bit OS.

Met up with Chris at Vivocity for some advisory and idea session, and talked so much until I was almost late for dinner at home (Ling was cooking awesome Sweet and Sour Pork). Later headed for supper at Kembangan with Yuan Kang; been a long time since we caught up.

There's something good about this 2010. I have a very, very good feeling about it.

Also, my parents bought me a very expensive gift... a new LV wallet. For those who know me, besides my car, I don't own anything expensive or branded. I use the most basic Macbook, wear normal clothes (besides ATP & BPN I don't own brands), use regular bags, wallets, camera, etc. Only my car has one of the better head units, branded speakers, Defi meters and GruppeM intake. I guess all my good stuff are in my car.

My dad and mom were saying... "son, you don't make so much money; perhaps you should change a wallet." I know it's crappy logic, but still funny nevertheless. I said it during EOY, and I'll say it again... If I were to tell my mother that I would like to be a bank robber, she'll probably say... "you'll be a very successful bank robber." My dad would probably go... "do you need money to buy a good runaway car and firearms?"

God gave me extremely good parents who wholeheartedly believe in every single thing that I do, even when it seems totally ridiculous or out of this world. Running BA and EOY were 2 of the craziest things that I have ever done in my life, but they still believe in what I believe anyway. Do you know that my mom sometimes pick Loli dress from BABY/AP's website to be sold at BA?

In anyway, we're going to maid cafe tonight.

I really hope the maids don't ask me to moe the cake or something, or ask me to do something embarrassing. Like I mentioned in Facebook... I'm the organizer of EOY, and also the founder of Black Alice. I really cannot be seen moe-ing a cake! That is so embarrassing! When I did that at @home cafe in Tokyo, my face turned red!

Entourage tonight (the crazy EOY people): Hao, Wilson, Joshua, me

Last thing... I'm heading to see a new venue with Joshua in a while's time. Let's hope it'll be a good place.

I feel like Moses sometimes... moving people into the promised land, with tons of people complaining.

Exodus, indeed.

Fun, nevertheless. Perhaps this was my calling. Glamorous as it may sometimes seem, it's filled with tears too.

Wow you people write a lot on the internet when you don't have work/school!

stranded in Canada adventures )

Also, Canadians are weird!

*Scone = biscuit, biscuit = cookie
*No one knows what a Christmas Pudding is 0_0 In fact, they don't use 'pudding' to mean dessert - pudding to them is like angel delight (so saying steamed pudding and watching their faces as they try to comprehend this notion is hilarious)
*Bar drinks are totally different! The hotel wouldn't let us spend our vouchers on alcohol (bastards!) and all my normal choices: lemonade and lime (they don't call sprite etc lemonade and don't have squash/cordial to put in drinks); appletiser; pineapple juice etc are unobtainable D:
* Shop people are scarily happy. Scarily so! It's like "It's okay, you really don't need to be that nice to me - are you having a breakdown? There, there it'll be okay!" *hug*
*Cider has no alcohol in it! If they say cider they mean apple juice. I don't drink much but I like the taste and I don't like being lied to with promises of 'mulled cider'. Pussies.
*Gingerbread means ginger cake. Also confusing.
*You can't say toilet. People get really shocked and embarrassed XD Come on people, even the queen says 'lavatory'
*Jellied salad. JELLIED salad. Literally what it sounds like. Eww gross wrong.
*They don't write 'cocoa solids' on the ingredients of a chocolate bar. Instead one of the ingredients of chocolate is 'chocolate' THIS MAKES NO SENSE! Also unless imported it's disgusting.

I need to update later with the loli meme everyone's doing (lolier than thou?), the wonderfulness of the the Toronto and NY lols, pictures, new skirt - Louise I want to show you, It reminds me of you!, and potential and unwanted life-choice decisions. I'll also do a day by day recount of my holidays in food since that's pretty much what it's been XD

Update: I may very well be going to Japan! Very soon! :DDDDD
Also it's 5.15 and I'm still at work! This needs to change!

My Life is Back to Normal...

  • Jan. 6th, 2010 at 11:15 AM
Wah song (hokkien)....

My life is back to normal.

I can once again work in the mornings, meet people to eat lunch together, do suppers with friends and no more working evenings. Going to buy some stuff in a while, then heading over to meet Joshua for lunch, then go print some name cards, then go for tea with Kunming and Chris, head back for dinner, and then go meet Yuan Kang for supper.

Ah... the pleasures of life.

And..., I really, really love my job. It's tough, challenging and extremely crazy sometimes, but I constantly see whatever I envision and dream come to past. Pursuing what you love is never easy, but it is extremely rewarding.

You just... cannot give up. And what is really tough is that it constantly goes beyond reasoning.

And! I really didn't play this song on purpose. It was randomed.

Oh yes, it is good. I tested it out, it pretty much makes every photograph look perfect.
I guess you can figure out what kind of style (photographically) I'm heading into. If anyone follows my tumblr you can see all my inspirations.
I also wore this outfit on New Years Eve, but should hopefully have photos from that at some point.

New Year's Resolutions.

  • Jan. 5th, 2010 at 7:28 PM
I was thinking that I wouldn't bother this year, one never ends up keeping them... but I suppose the dawn of the new year warrants some degree of optimism, however misguided. So, without further ado:

Resolutions for this year, in no particular order -
1. Work much harder at college and get at least three As. I've pretty much given up hope of getting an A in history at this point, but as long as I have three I will be more than satisfied.
2. Stop spending ridiculus amounts of money on lolita (especially stupid overpriced AP prints that all look the same) and invest in some real necessities like a nice little black dress, a laptop and an X-Box 360. ;D
3. Join the organ donors register
4. Read at least 20 books that will improve my intellect
5. Apply to university (actually do it this time, don't just talk about it)
6. Learn to cook many more delicious dishes, most importantly the perfect layered chocolate mousse recipe
7. Be kinder to other people, especially my mother
8. Stay as happy as I am now <3
9. Update this journal, and my super secret journal, more often.
10. Figure out what I actually want to do with my life

That's all. :3

Christmas 2009 / New Year 2010!

  • Jan. 4th, 2010 at 9:33 PM
I've been busy / too lazy to write up LJ entries so I'm going to merge these two into one XD

Christmas 2009
I had a really nice time~~! Considering what a crap year 2009 has been, a lovely Xmas was just what I needed. Had a nice family meal on Xmas Day, and on Boxing Day we did hot pot~ ^^
I received lots of wonderful cards from friends as well as some really special presents! See photos under the cut~!

Awesome Xmas Presents! )

New Year 2010
I'd never gone out to celebrate New Years before, so I went with Karsh and V (plus her friends Megan and Tish) to watch the fireworks at Trafalgar Square~ We were outside in the FREEZING COLD FOR HOURS~~!!!! ;___; I don't know what I was thinking, wearing a mini skirt in the unbearable cold.

So we waited, and finally 2010 was here!! Fireworks weren't so impressive, and the vast majority of the view was obscured by smoke, all travelling towards Big Ben XD
Ten minutes after midnight, it started to snow!! It was so pretty <3 Along the way the girls did some crazy fun things like having their photos taken of them wearing a policeman's helmet and sitting at the wheel of a fire engine whilst wearing a fireman's hat XDD We also like, sat in a bar and had drinks.

We were out til reeeeeeeal late. I got home at 4 in the funking morning~! That will certainly be a New Years to remember XD

I would do a review of 2009 but frankly it was sooooo depressing that I don't even want to remember it. I'm happy that 2010 is here, time to leave all the bad things from 2009 behind and move onwards and upwards! I really hope good things are waiting for me this year ^__^
